1) This artical is about how there was alot of good economic news recently. Apparently consumers have started spending more, manufacturing slides have gone down, and construction is speading up. That news caused a big jump in the stock market.
2) I chose this artical because it was the first good economic news i saw in a wile.

Devlin, I can understand why you only summarized the beginning of the article, which you did a really good job with. It gets really technical and difficult after that. If you had kept going, though, you would have found a lot of information about unemployment and other issues -- more of the good news we're all looking for.
